VHS and camcorder tapes gradually lose signal. 8mm and Super 8 film become brittle. Photographs fade in adhesive albums. CDs, DVDs, floppy disks, and older hard drives become difficult to read as the machines that play them disappear.
Heritage Archives handles all of it: CD, DVD, VHS, 3.5" and 5.25" disks, photographs, prints, slides, film, USB drives, IDE hard drives, and more. If it holds memory, we can preserve it — with the patience these materials deserve.
Documented custody, at every step.
You are entrusting us with things that cannot be replaced. So every item is photographed and logged into a numbered manifest on arrival — and you receive a copy to confirm contents before we process anything.
Boxes ship both ways with tracking, signature confirmation, and declared-value coverage. Nothing is returned until verified digital copies exist in two separate locations. And we carry comprehensive errors and omissions insurance, because care should be backed by accountability.
Preservation is only half the work.
A folder of unnamed files is not yet an archive. Heritage uses AI to surface the people, places, and stories inside your digitized media — so a box of old tapes becomes something your family can explore, share, and talk about together.
